RYA Dinghy Instructor Course – 23rd – 27th October 2017
Prerequisites – RYA Pre-Assessment, RYA Level 2 Powerboat, RYA Membership, Minimum 8hour Emergency First Aid and RYA Safe and Fun Safeguarding.
Cost: £270 including all logbooks and work books for course
RYA Windsurfing Instructor Course – 23rd – 27th October 2017
Prerequisites – RYA Intermediate Non-planing & clinics, RYA Level 2 Powerboat, RYA Membership, Minimum 8hour Emergency First Aid and RYA Safe and Fun Safeguarding..
Cost: £310 including all logbooks and work books for course
BC Level 1 Coach Training and Assessment – 23rd – 27th October 2017 (23rd is optional canoe refresher day, Level 1 Coach Course runs 24th – 27th October)
Prerequisites – New BC 2 Star, Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, BC Membership, Registered for training with BC in advance.
During October Half Term we will be running the New BC Level 1 Coach Training & Assessment. The first day will be an up skilling day where we will work on your Canoeing Skills and any areas which are weak. Then this will be followed by four days consist of practical sessions on the water and theory sessions ashore, learning coaching techniques and group management skills to give successful candidates everything they need to teach kayaking/canoeing.
Cost: £270, Level 1 Coach Course only £250
BC/UKCC Level 2 Coach Training – Dates TBC
Prerequisites – BC/UKCC Level 1 Coach Award, BC 3 Star in kayak / canoe, Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, BC Membership, have registered for training using a CR form and had it returned stamped.
During the course we will be running the BC/UKCC Level 2 Coach Training. The emphasis of the training course is to ‘observe, analyse and implement’. This means of experimenting with new coaching styles and techniques. This will give successful candidates everything they need to teach kayaking/canoeing at the next level. This course will only run if there are 6 or more candidates.
British Rowing Level 2 Sculling Session Coach – 25th, 26th March, assessment on 30th April 2017
Pre-requisites – Explore Rowing Stage 2, RYA Powerboat Level 2, First Aid Certificate, and British Rowing Membership and 2 free online courses (Safety Basics and Cold Water & Hypothermia on RowHow)

Pre Assessment Training Week
Pre Assessment Day Only
This course works on skills from the RYA Seamanship skills award, with the final day being the the Dinghy Pre-assessment!
Cost £250 for 6 day course – including all logbooks and certificates for the course and the pre assessment day
Cost £80 for Pre-assessment day only
RYA Safe and Fun Safeguarding
This is an online course consisting of tutorials, practice questions and a test (access to a computer and the internet are required)
It is a pre-requisite to most RYA Instructor courses.
Access to the online course is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
A pass rate of 60% is required, upon successful completion of the course, a pdf certificate will be available to download (printer required0
Cost – £12
New BC 2*
This 2 day course will be spent improving your Kayaking and Canoeing skills working towards achieving 2 Star.
Cost – £116 (Successful candidates will be issued with pass slips which with a £7 payment can be sent to BC for a certificate)
Foundation Safety & Rescue Training – 16th July or 17th September 2017
The course aims to provide the student with the key safety and rescue skills required to operate safely in a sheltered water environment and be able to deal with common emergencies.
Cost – £75
Powerboat Level 1&2 Course – 4th & 5th November 2017
Cost £260 – Includes all course books and certificates
RYA First Aid Course – 11th November 2017
Cost £92 – Includes all course books and certificates
