Children booking onto our junior sailing courses will be split into two age groups, 8-10 and 11-18 years. Both age groups sail single-handed dinghies, this gives them the independence to control their own boat from the start. The 8-10 year olds sail Teras and Oppi’s. Both are a great stable boat for the youngsters to learn in. The older age group 11-18’s sail larger more powerful Pico’s or Topper’s.

We run these courses during May half term and the seven weeks of the summer holidays, each course is split into introduction and improver (unless stated). HOAC allocates which course is most suitable so please make sure you complete the relevant experience section on the form to make sure your child is booked onto the correct course.
