Introduction to Sailing
Pico/Topper Intro Sailing All Day (11–18 years)
This course will run alongside the RYA scheme with HOAC awards to allow progress through the levels. The aim of the course is to learn the basics of sailing in a fun environment, working towards improving sailing techniques through practical exercises and games.
Introduction to Sculling
Intro to Sculling (11-18 years)
The course covers the basic sculling strokes to correct sequencing and posture. The aim is to learn to scull and obtain awards.
Introduction to Kayaking
Intro to Kayaking (11–18 years)
This course is suitable for complete beginners and kayakers who already hold their HOAC bronze award. The syllabus covers the basic kayaking strokes and gets them comfortable going forwards, backwards and safely capsizing. Participants should come away from this course with either their HOAC Bronze or HOAC 1 star Award.
Candidates wishing to get a British Canoeing Performance Award, should inform the office prior to the start of the course. Successful candidates will be required to pay £8.00
Low Land
Low Land (11–18 years)
Each day will be action packed with activities including:
- archery
- fencing
- pedal karting
- commando challenge
- low ropes
- caving
- bush craft
- trebuchet
Introduction to Windsurfing
Windsurf Intro (11–18 years)
This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have already passed their NSSA bronze award. The course will give them an introduction into windsurfing through land drills and games.
