Annual Refresher for First Aiders

Although it is not mandatory, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed. This refresher course will meet that requirement and help First Aiders maintain their skills and knowledge and keep up to date with any changes. HOAC trainers pride themselves on delivering this in person annual refresher so participants can get the most out of the session.

• Secondary assessment
• Action for vomit
• Resuscitation
• Chain of Survival
• Wounds and bleeding
• Bandaging
• Hygiene

Further Information

The course is run on a staffing ratio of 1 instructor to up to 16 students.

There is no formal assessment however the instructor will assess each individual through out the course. At the end of the course students will be issued with a non-regulated certificate of achievement.
