This course gives students the knowledge of CPR, safe use of an AED, the recovering position and choking.

Duration: 3 hours

Syllabus

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Primary Survey
• Recovery position
• Choking

Minimum age: 14 years old

Further information

The course is run on a staffing ratio of 1 instructor to up to 12 students.

The qualification is assessed both practically and through questioning. On successfully completion of the assessment students will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years from the date of the course.
