Disability Awareness

We are able to provide RYA and PaddleUK (formally British Canoeing) Disability Awareness training courses at your venue.

If you are an RYA Sailability group and looking to run an RYA Disability Awareness Courses for your volunteers then please contact us and one of our experienced staff team will be able to run a course at your venue. This one day course provides the opportunity to give helpers practical advice and understanding of what is involved in working alongside disabled sailors. It provides the ideal opportunity to learn and ask questions in a safe environment beforehand. The course aims to encourage helpers to become involved.

Instructor ratio: 1:20

Timings: 10am–5.30pm (these can be adjusted to suit each groups needs)

If you are looking to put on a PaddleUK (formally British Canoeing) introduction or foundation or intermediate module in Paddle ability then we can also help with this. These course are ideal for clubs with volunteers or outdoor centres wanting to upskill a staff team. Please contact us for more information.
